Push Notifications
It's difficult to constantly monitor your Safe Multisig Account, and confirmation requests are easily missed. Push notifications ensure you're aware when a transaction is executed, funds are received, or confirmation is required.
How to Enable Push Notifications
If you already have Safe Multisig Account(s) added, you'll see a banner enabling all push notifications. Alternatively, customize settings per Safe Multisig. In Safe Multisig settings, adjust which notification types you want to see and enable/disable push notifications altogether.
You can also enable/disable notifications for some or all added Safe Multisig wallets via global preferences in Safe Multisig. Click "Preferences" in the footer to access "Notifications" settings.
When enabling notifications, your browser will prompt for permission. Accepting allows push notifications through your browser.
Note: Enabling notifications, especially "Confirmation requests," requires ownership verification per Safe Multisig with a signature. If you're not the owner, you won't receive confirmation requests even if enabled.
This action occurs off-chain and requires no gas fees.
Troubleshooting
I Don't See a Notification Permission Prompt
This might happen for several reasons:
- If importing a Safe Multisig in a new browser, ensure you've added your Safe Multisig (notifications only work for added Safe Multisig wallets)
- In Chrome, verify "Sites can ask to send notifications" is enabled in Settings > Privacy and security > Notifications
- Ensure Safe Multisig appears in the "Allowed to send notifications" list
I've Enabled Notifications But Can't See Them
First, check Settings > Notifications in Safe Multisig to ensure:
- Notifications are enabled
- The desired notification types are enabled
If settings show notifications are enabled, verify browser notification permissions are granted. If permissions are granted, system settings may be preventing notification display.
For macOS users, enable notifications for your preferred browser in System Settings > Notifications.
For Chrome, you may need to enable notifications twice (two Chrome-related items appear in the apps list).
