Default Token List, Local Hiding of Spam Tokens

2 min read

Token visibility, spam protection, and hiding tokens

Spam tokens are becoming more common across blockchain networks. Safe Multisig provides several options to help you avoid potentially malicious assets by default and customize which tokens appear in the app.

Where to find these settings

Navigate to Assets → Manage tokens (gear icon).

You'll see these options:

  • Show all tokens
  • Hide small balances
  • Hide tokens (manual hiding)

Show all tokens

Default behavior (OFF): Safe Multisig displays tokens discovered through Zerion's service, with Zerion's spam filters applied automatically. This reduces the likelihood of seeing suspicious or low-quality tokens.

When you turn it ON: Safe Multisig will list all tokens identified by its internal token service. This may include tokens that Zerion's spam filtering would normally hide, including spam tokens.

Use this setting if:

  • You're expecting a token in your Safe multisig but it's not showing up in the assets list
  • You're troubleshooting missing tokens on a specific network

Important note: Enabling Show all tokens may reveal spam tokens. Exercise caution before interacting with unfamiliar assets.

Missing a token in the Send flow?

If you can't locate a token when sending:

  1. Open Assets → Manage tokens
  2. Turn Show all tokens ON
  3. Return to Send and search again

This ensures that tokens filtered by default discovery still appear when you need them.

Hide small balances

Enable Hide small balances to conceal tokens with a very small fiat value (typically less than $0.01). This keeps your asset list tidy without permanently hiding anything.

You can toggle this setting on or off at any time.

Hide tokens manually

For full control, you can manually hide specific tokens:

  • In Manage tokens, select Hide tokens, choose the tokens you want to hide, and click Save
  • Alternatively, hide an individual token directly from the list using the eye icon (availability depends on where you're viewing it)

Hidden tokens remain hidden locally for that Safe multisig unless you choose to unhide them later.
